Yi.magination Announces The Release of Float Comixware Version 1.2.2

Newhall, California - February 25, 2003, Yi.magination Studios today announces the release of Float Comixware version 1.2.2. This is a much anticipated update to the debut release of Comixware (version 1.2) two months ago. Comixware, developed and published by Yi.magination Studios, is an interactive storytelling apparatus that marries contents and software in one integrated package that offers user unprecedented customizability and creativity to the multimedia contents. Despite the minor increment in the version id, the current update adds substantial improvement to Comixware's features and functionality. Namely: the full screen mode, and the Mac compatibility.

Full Screen mode - In addition to the original normal 640 x 480 screen mode, Comixware now offers an 800 x 600 large screen mode for better display quality. User can switch between the 2 modes at the flick of a button anytime, anywhere in the application. The visual impact of a Full Screen presentation is stunning (especially for the resolution independent Flash contents). One has to see it to believe it.

Mac Compatibility - Now a Mac version of Comixware is available and is fully in par with its PC sibling. This is not only a welcome addition to potential Mac customers (who are usually artistically inclined and therefor likely subscribers to the idea of Comixware) but also an important philosophical fulfillment for the software itself: being unique but utterly inclusive.

Pricing and Compatibility

Float Comixware 1.2.2 is a free update for all existing customers. Owners of version 1.2 can use their initiation key to download this update from Float web site (Members Area: http://www.yimagination.com/float/members_frset.html). For new customers the price is $20.00 for the download version. This is a special promotional offer good until 3/31/2003. After that Comixware will be selling at its normal price around $30. Comixware is compatible for all flavors of Windows (Windows 95, 98, NT4, 2000, ME and XP) and for Mac OS 8x and 9x (OS X is only supported in classic mode).

The Demo

A demo version of Comixware is currently posted on Float web site for user evaluation. This is a truncated version of the real thing with reduced contents and features. But all the major functions of Comixware are kept intact for people to get a good feel of its power and potential. In fact one could spend hours already exploring endless creative possibilities with this considerably 'reduced' edition.
