FLOAT #3

Xianbala, A Parallel Universe of Mind and Soul.

Float and his 3 mutant bodyguards are cursed to be reincarnated time and again until Float atones for his sin. Their current lifetime in the 24th century finds them in a seedy inn at the foot of the Himalayas. Pat, a reporter who Float thinks he recognizes from a previous lifetime, arrives being chased by the soldiers of the GEF. She is searching for the legendary paradise of Xianbala, and for unknown reasons, GEF wants to shut her down. A fight ensues, and just as the GEF fires a missile to destroy the inn, a mysterious girl appears, and leads our heroes through a secret quantum passage to the safety of Xianbala, which appears to be a place of great peace. How appearance deceives...

FLOAT #3: “Another Mountain” is the first book of a 4 parts sub-series called “Xianbala”. This 24-pages, B/W, comic book is published by Yi.magination Studios (Valencia, California) and distributed by Diamond Comics. The book was released in May 1999.

In this issue the setting is futuristic, the mood is exotic. This is the beginning of Float’s esoteric misadventure. The plot thickens, with new twists and turns as our non-linear time-space odyssey unfolds. And we are happy to announce the arrival of Eric Luke, a writer of truly esoteric complexity both in the fields of comic books and screenplays. Luke was one of the original writers of Dark Horse’s hit series “Ghost” for 3 years. His other credits include DC’s “Wonder Woman” and numerous movie and TV projects such as the “Explorer” (directed by Joe Dante and produced by Paramount), “Not Quite Human II”, and “Still Not Quite Human” (both were “Movies of the Week” on the Disney Channel). Luke brings just to the other worldly literary touch to a complex and unearthly project like FLOAT. Last but not least, great writings in the art of creating comic books only realizes through an imaginative visual presentation. Under the direction of Yi-Chih Chen, the creative team of Fred Carrillo (Pencil/Ink) and Andrew Crossely (Color) achieves the incredible visual excellence, once again!. The art is breathtaking!

As our journey continues into the future, please joins us in charting the passage for our heroes in an endless labyrinth of parallel universes. Buckle up to survive! We promise you, we are entering a realm from where no one has yet returned! One false step, one split second of oversight and you will lost your soul and join those who are condemned to the eternal abyss of sorrow!
